Drummer and composer Chris Lee showcases deep friendships and musical collaborations through his sonic meditation on our lush landscape. His album, Green in Grey, features local jazz elites and several lifelong friends—Dan Balmer (guitar), who Chris has played with since they were teenagers; Greg Goebel (piano); Dave Captein (bass), who was in grade school with Chris; Thomas Barber (trumpet); and John Nastos (woodwinds). These heavyweights will share the essence of the Pacific Northwest during their PJCE Records album release show at the Montavilla Jazz Festival at 10:30 pm on Friday, August 30th, at Beer Brats & Beats.
